Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the technology innovation Organization. The Foundation has issued a Request for Proposal for projects that raise awareness and understanding of technology and its impact on society. The Foundation invites applications exclusively from IEEE organizational units for projects that address the pre-defined theme identified by the Foundation for each year. The Foundation will fund 12-month grants of up to $100,000 in support of projects that provide technical information at a level that can be understood by the general public; reaches a broad cross-section of society; presents, in a neutral and balanced manner, an analysis of the social benefits and costs of deploying the subject technology; and avoids advocating a particular action. In addition, projects should directly involve IEEE members, including, student members as appropriate. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
