National Collegiate Inventors And Innovators Alliance

DescriptionThe Alliance supports technology innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education to create experiential learning opportunities for students and successful, socially beneficial businesses. The Alliance awards Course and Program grants to strengthen existing curricular programs or to build new programs in invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Faculty from NCIIA member colleges and universities may apply for the grants. Preference is given to courses and programs, which introduce curricula that incorporates affordable design, social entrepreneurship, and other approaches to meet basic human needs and environmental issues. Courses and programs should also stimulate the formulation of E-Teams and promote the E-Team learning experience. Courses and programs should create opportunities for high-quality group learning experiences and move beyond academic exercises to real-life business interaction. They should create viable collaborative opportunities for participants from both academe and industry. The Alliance places a high value on proposals that demonstrate concern for the earth and the health and welfare of humans.
