DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the energy transporter Company. It invests in organizations and programs that improve the quality of life in the communities in which the company has significant facilities and/or business interests. The Foundation’s charitable contributions are awarded in the following categories: environment, education, culture and the arts, civic and community development, and health and human services. Funding requests are reviewed and approved by regional committees. The review process may take two to six months depending upon the grant’s size. The Foundation’s board must approve larger grants. An online application begins with an eligibility quiz. The Foundation has special instructions for those applying for an educational grant on its Web site. Contact information for regional committees is also available online. Applications are accepted year-round.
