Description

The Foundation, named for the son of novelist Danielle Steele, supports organizations involved in the diagnosis, research, treatment, and/or family support of manic depression and other forms of mental illness, suicide prevention, child abuse, and children in jeopardy. Funding is also targeted toward struggling musicians in the areas of mental illness. The Foundation may give special consideration to proposals that address manic-depressive illness in children and young adults. There is no formal application. Grant proposals should be kept to three pages. Background information on Traina, for whom the Foundation is named, is available on the Web site.
