DescriptionThe Foundation, the creation of founding sponsors, Burger King Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company, Dr. Pepper, Heinz Foodservice, and Sara Lee Foodservice, supports organizations dedicated to improving education, alleviating hunger, preventing disease, or supporting youth programs. Hunger-related grants support efforts to find innovative and sustainable solutions in the fight against global hunger. Preventing disease grants support U.S. efforts to prevent and control chronic disease through public education, health-related support organizations, and preventative medicine and research programs. Support for youth programs targets the efforts of organizations that seek to better the lives of youth. The Foundation is committed to fostering a long-term, positive impact on the communities where the companies’ employees work and live. Applicants must have a current solicitation registration in the state of operation as well as in Florida. Priority is given to organizations with active and diverse boards, effective leadership, clear objectives, sound financial practices, multiple sources of support, and a history of Burger King franchise and/or Burger King Corporation participation and involvement.
