Frances And John L. Loeb Family Fund
Category: General
DescriptionThe Fund focuses its grantmaking on the fields of education, health, and family planning, and public policy questions relating to them. Educational opportunity and reform of public urban K-12 schools are of interest, as are early childhood education, scholarships, and fellowships. In the area of health, the fund supports projects that improve healthcare delivery to the underserved, especially children, homeless, and the aged; address major public health issues; and provide preventive medicine and health education. Family planning grants support programs that promote humane and enlightened policies and practices. Proposals that offer new knowledge of innovative approaches to problems rather than palliative measures are of interest. There are no application forms. Applicants are asked to submit a preliminary request in letter format. Preference is given to New York City metropolitan area organizations, but proposals with the promise of national implication or extensive replication are considered.
