DescriptionThe Society’s Equine Fund supports the programs of nonprofit equine welfare organizations in the United States that protect and aid horses suffering from cruelty and neglect. Grants fall into one of three categories: capital improvements, emergency grants, or education-related grants. Grants for hay, feed, and medical care are restricted to large cruelty seizures or impounds only. The Society will not fund start-up equine rescue organizations or aid in an organization’s relocation.
