Description

The Foundation seeks to transform the way the private, public, and nonprofit sectors work together in building collaborative partnerships. The Foundation not only provides funds, it has built an online community of volunteers, business advice, Internet training, and Web developers to leverage the work of nonprofits. Funding is focused on three areas: literacy, domestic violence, and technology for healthcare and healthcare accessibility. To be considered for funding, organizations must not duplicate or significantly overlap the work of public agencies on the federal, state, or local levels. They must serve the community without discrimination. They must also keep books available for regular independent outside audits and make the results available to all potential contributors as well as complying with applicable laws regarding registration and reporting. In addition, they must observe the highest standards of business conduct in their relationships with the public. The Foundation reviews unsolicited proposals on a continuous basis from January 1 to November 30 each year.
