Massage Therapy Foundation
Category: Health
DescriptionThe Foundation’s community service grants are designed to promote working partnerships between massage therapists and community-based organizations, with the intent of building strong relationships between the recipient, the therapist, and the sponsoring organization. Funding is targeted at organizations that seek to provide massage therapy to communities or groups who currently have little or no access to such services. Eligible organizations must have been in existence for at least one year in the respective state; tax exempt; currently provide some therapeutic or other service programs to the community; and have designated a qualified staff member and a qualified practitioner to oversee the project. Projects should not duplicate services already provided by the applicant organization and should demonstrate sustainability after the funding period is over. All practitioners must have professional liability insurance coverage.
