Category

: Arts & Culture

Description

The Foundation's grantmaking is focused on building and perpetuating the live performing arts, particularly the professional theater in the United States. The Foundation funds theatrical organizations, dance companies, and arts-related institutions that maintain and support the theater. Of particular interest are organizations that show artistic achievement, administrative strength, and fiscal stability as well as the company's development of new work and other significant contributions to the theater in the United States. The Foundation also supports nonperforming arts-related organizations, such as those that coordinate and/or assist in the development of the performing arts. A limited amount of funding goes to graduate drama departments at private universities. There is a specialized application form.
