Description

The philanthropic arm of the food corporation in conjunction with the American Dietetic Association Foundation and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness is launching a Champions for Healthy Kids Grant program. The Program will award 50 grants of $10,000 each to community-based groups across the United States that develop creative ways to help youth adopt a balanced diet and physically active lifestyle. Local organizations that work with youth are invited to apply because their programs are more likely to be sustainable. The target audience must be between ages 2 and 18. A registered dietitian or dietetic technician must either be directly involved or serve as an advisor to the program and the proposal must have at least one nutrition objective and one physical activity objective. Additional information including an online application form is available on the Web site.
