Description

The Foundation’s grantmaking is focused on needle exchange and other harm reduction strategies within the drug using community. The Foundation seeks to “facilitate the process between organizations and communities committed to creating and maintaining health.” Funding priorities include needle exchange programs; organizations providing direct services addressing health issues related to drug use; organizations grounded in harm reduction principles and practice; and those actively developing community, financial, and local political support. The Foundation will not deny funding to organizations with employees who are participating in drug treatment or recovery or those associated with those participating in such programs. Applications are due on or before March 1, July 1, and November 1 each year. Letters of inquiry are requested. Additional information is available on the Web site.
