DescriptionSupported by a donors’ collaborative, the Foundation seeks to advance a vision for responsible U.S. global engagement in an increasingly interdependent world. The Foundation’s Rapid Response Grant Program for Global Engagement Projects is aimed at enabling organizations to act on unique, time-sensitive, and unforeseen opportunities for policy change. The Rapid Response program will complement the Connect US Global Security and Cooperation Initiative, a two-year program of grantmaking and operations designed to promote a broad vision of responsible U.S. global engagement among the 2008 presidential candidates and the public. Proposals for the Rapid Response program are expected to address a timely need or opportunity consistent with the Connect US vision of responsible U.S. global engagement; present opportunities for real policy change; and have clear policy objectives and short-term strategies for meeting them. The program will accept proposals on a rolling basis starting Sept. 16, 2007. Additional information is available on the Web site.
