Description

The Foundation is the dive industry’s charitable arm. It is committed to conserving the underwater environments through advocacy, education, and action. The Foundation’s offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, and Japan, combine efforts to protect aquatic resources in 175 countries. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking in six areas: shark protection; coral reef conservation; sustainable fisheries; ecotourism; aquatic education with a special interest in children; and direct activities. Direct activities grants can be used to conserve underwater resources such as shoreline and underwater cleanups, mooring buoy installations and maintenance. A grant application form is available on the Web site.
