DescriptionThe Office’s HOPE program provides funding for grassroots, nonprofit, community- and faith-based victim organizations and coalitions to improve outreach and services to crime victims. Administered out of the United States Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, the grants support program development, networking, coalition building, and service delivery. Funds may be used to develop program literature, train advocates, produce newsletters, support victim outreach efforts, and recruit volunteers. Organizations and coalitions in operation for at least one year that have not received federal VOCA victim assistance grant funding and that have an annual operating budget of $50,000 or less may apply. All applicants must have a history of serving crime victims. Additional information is available on the Web site.
