DescriptionThe Fund, administered by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, supports organizations that work in the areas of basic needs, community safety, conservation and sustainable forestry, economic development, and education. Programs and projects should strengthen existing institutions in the North Country region. They should address gaps in services to meet basic needs. Those that preserve and enhance the natural, cultural, and social assets of the North Country as well as leveraging public and private funding are of particular interest. Programs and projects should also support and strengthen existing and emerging community leaders as well as strengthen the ability of communities and individuals to impact public policy. The Fund awards grants to organizations in Coos County, N.H. as well as neighboring communities in Vermont and Quebec, Canada.
