Bikes Belong Coalition

DescriptionSponsored by members of the American bicycle industry, the Coalition’s mission is to increase bike ridership. Grants are awarded for facility, capacity, and education projects. Priority is given to bicycle organizations, coalitions, and associations, particularly those that have not received previous funding from the Coalition. Also of interest are projects that build coalitions through the combined efforts of the industry and advocacy. Eligible facility projects include bike paths, trails, routes, and lanes; mountain bike facilities; BMX facilities; and innovative and unique high-profile projects. Eligible advocacy projects include those with a significant political impact, innovative pilot projects, programs that make existing organizations significantly more effective at generating ridership, and ones with long-term goals to sustain newer groups.
