DescriptionThe Foundation’s purpose is to address global problems of poverty, injustice, and lack of opportunity, particularly as they exist in Nicaragua. The Foundation especially seeks projects that allow for the healthy development of women and the future of women, indigenous people, and the rural poor. The Foundation also provides microloans and funds for social movements. The Foundation’s assistance in Nicaragua is targeted at 75 percent lending and 25 percent grantmaking.
