DescriptionThe Foundation is the country’s leading philanthropic organization in support of the shooting sports. Its objective is to promote, advance, and encourage firearms and hunting safety; to educate individuals including youth, with respect to firearms and firearms history, hunting safety, and marksmanship; and to conduct research to further improve firearms safety and marksmanship facilities and techniques. Grants are awarded to programs such as youth education, law enforcement training, hunter education, conservation, firearms and marksmanship training and safety. The deadline is for annual national grants. State fund grant applications are reviewed monthly with submission deadlines set by the respective NRA Field Representatives.
