Jane Bancroft Robinson Foundation
Category: Women
DescriptionGrounded in the legacy of the United Methodist Church, the Foundation is dedicated to dismantling systemic racism and reducing the health and economic disparities that disproportionately affect Black women living East of the Anacostia River. The Foundation is centered on community members' voices and shifts power and resources to them so they can design solutions that improve racial equity, health, and employment outcomes for Black women. Grants are awarded for programs and projects in three areas: Cancer Navigation, Workforce Development, and Community Partnerships. Cancer Navigation grants seek to improve Black women's outcomes. Workforce Development grants seek to increase access to a workforce ecosystem that provides a sustainable career trajectory within health-related careers. Community Partnerships grants co-create and fund solutions to enhance economic mobility and reduce cancer mortality rates. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
