Ramsar Wetland Conservation Awards

DescriptionThe Awards are sponsored by the Switzerland-based Convention on Wetlands, which oversees grant programs that provide funding for small to medium-sized projects aimed at the conservation and wise use of wetlands. The Awards celebrate and recognize those making significant contributions to hopefully inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Grants are awarded in three categories: The Ramsar Wetland Conservation Award for Innovation; the Ramsar Convention Award for Young Wetland Champions, and the Ramsar Wetland Indigenous Peoples Conservation and Wise Use Award. Award recipients will also receive the Evian Special Prize provided by Danone. Details about each of the categories and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
