Wild Animal Initiative

DescriptionThe Initiative seeks to improve the science behind the quality of life or how to improve it for animals living in the wild. The Initiative's goal is to accelerate progress in the emerging field of wild animal welfare science. The Initiative's Seed Grants provide small amounts of funding to help researchers develop new ideas or build wild animal questions into existing projects. Grants support direct research costs and funded projects address scope, impact engagement, and neglectedness of the population as well as feasibility, research ethics, and cost-effectiveness.
