The Eisner Foundation
Category: Seniors/Aging
DescriptionFunded by Michael D. Eisner, then Chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company, and his wife, Jane, in order to focus their family's philanthropy, the Foundation has awarded the Eisner Prize to honor people and organizations doing exceptional intergenerational work across the country. The Prize, which is open to anyone working to innovate in the area of intergenerational connection, whether that be through research, programs, technology, or other efforts advancing the field, supports leaders pioneering innovations in the field. Priority will be given to new innovations in intergenerational connection whether that is new programs, research, technology, or any other innovation that intentionally connects different generations in new ways. Young people, people of color, and those working with historically marginalized communities are particularly encouraged to apply. Funded projects should be executable by the proposing individual(s). Additional information and application instructions can be found on the Web site.
