Description

The Fund’s objective is to empower those individuals whose basic rights to justice and opportunity are systematically ignored or denied. The Fund supports people who work together to change the social, economic, or political conditions which bar their access to participation in a democratic society. The Fund’s focus is community organizing. Applicants should be “multi-issue, membership-based, low-to-moderate income community organizations which show promise of creating significant social change by impacting the public or private institutions which influence their communities most profoundly.” The deadline is for applicants located out of the Southeast and Southwest Clusters of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arizona, southern California, New Mexico or Southern Texas.
