Description

The Association's COVID-19 and Higher Education Community Grants award funds to groups working to address issues in higher education felt by the disability community, especially as it relates to issues created or made worse due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Grants are awarded in four categories: Knowledge Acquisition, Construction, Integration, and Application; Intrapersonal Development/Community Building; Civic Engagement and Disability Rights; Disability Joy and Love. Grants may be applied to projects such as leading a campaign to create a Disability Culture Center on campus; bringing a disabled speaker to campus; hosting a gathering for a Disability Affinity Group; hosting a panel of disabled students to talk about the ongoing pandemic; seed money for a scholarship.
