DescriptionThe Community of Halifax, Nova Scotia, offers a community grant program that supports nonprofits and volunteers in providing a range of leisure, learning, and recreational opportunities for residents. The Program also provides support for programs, services, and amenities to enhance public safety and the well-being of individuals and families with special needs. Funding categories include: Affordable Housing, Community Arts, Community Histories, Diversity and Inclusion, Emergency Assistance and Public Safety, Environment and Climate Change, Leisure, and Recreation. Eligible organizations include nonprofit societies, nonprofit associations, nonprofit organizations, nonprofit corporations, and charitable organizations.
