DescriptionThe Organization, formerly the Petco Foundation, seeks to create a better world for animals and the people who love and need them. As one of the nation's largest funders of animal welfare, the Organization provides support to the following types of organizations in the United States: 1) animal control agencies and nonprofit organizations responsible for animal control sheltering; 2) Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and other humane societies as well as nonprofits that provide sheltering and adoptions of companion animals and operate primarily out of an animal sheltering facility; and 3) nonprofit organizations that are primarily foster-based rescues. The open deadline is for the Organization's Love Stories, Shelter Pet Cancer Treatment, Vaccinated and Loved, and Disaster Relief programs. Other programs have specific annual deadlines.
