11th Hour Racing
Category: Environment
DescriptionThe Organization is a community of sailors, surfers, scientists, outdoor and ocean enthusiasts, united by their passion for a thriving ocean. The Organization committed to mobilizing the sailing and marine communities to improve the health of the oceans. The Organization seeks innovative projects that address dynamic environmental challenges in one or more of the program's focus areas: reduce ocean pollution; advance clean technologies and best practices; and foster ocean stewardship. Strong consideration is given to projects that involve collaborations and stakeholder engagement; model best practices; can demonstrate measurable outcomes in a one-year timeframe; and share successes broadly. While the Organization awards grants in the U.S. and globally, it prioritizes funding on the East Coast of the United States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
