Astraea Lesbian Foundation For Justice

DescriptionThe Foundation works for social, racial, and economic justice in the United States and internationally. Funding is earmarked for programs that help lesbians and allied communities challenge oppression and claim their human rights. Of particular interest are lesbian organizations and cultural media projects that directly address the depth and complexities of lesbian and transgender issues. The Foundation also supports LGBTI organizations, women’s organizations, and progressive organizations that have lesbians and transgender people in leadership roles and include lesbian and transgender issues as an integral part of their work. The deadline is for social change organizations and projects (including film, video, media, and cultural projects) that directly address the depth and complexity of critical issues in LGBTI communities.
