Description

The Foundation was established to provide a long-term way to serve specific needs in Canada. The Foundation funds programs and projects in three specific areas: Adult Education Advancement Initiatives; Environmental Enhancement Initiatives; and Housing Initiatives. Adult Education Advancement grants support marginalized people, groups, and allies in their efforts to achieve change. Environmental Enhancement Initiative grants seek to support systemic climate change solutions. Housing Initiative grants support programs that mobilize public engagement/education to advance public policy development in the housing sector and strengthen networks and collective strategies among non-profit housing groups and organizations. Applicants must be registered Canadian charities that work in areas where the needs are greatest and work with persons not served or reached by traditional programs. Additional information including application instructions can be found on the Web site.
