DescriptionVisionary Women and the Foundation award the Visionary Prize for Women's Economic Empowerment. The Prize recognizes three visionary women leading nonprofits that advance women's economic empowerment in the United States. Prizes will be awarded to nonprofits that demonstrably advance the economic empowerment of women through the following means: provide access to capital; provide access to non-monetary resources that support economic advancement (for example: mentoring, training, personal/professional development, or technical business support); and/or remove barriers to allow women to participate and succeed fully in the workforce. Eligible applicants must have been in operation for at least four years; be able to provide data on prior outcomes/impact; have an annual budget over $500,000; and be operating in the United States. The top prize is $75,000; the runner-up will receive $25,000, and the Rising Visionary Award winner will receive $15,000. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
