DescriptionSince 1993, the Foundation has been a leader in funding new ways to find answers to important scientific questions. Its mission is to fund and promote the development, validation, and adoption of non-animal methods in biomedical research, product, testing, and education. Alternative, non-animal methods in science have shown innovation and have made it possible to achieve high-quality research; accurate, human-relevant testing; and humane science education. Grants are awarded to programs and projects with high scientific merit and the greatest potential to replace and reduce the use of animals in research.
