Marijuana Policy Project
Category: Health
DescriptionThe Project is the largest marijuana policy reform organization in the United States. It works to minimize the harm associated with the drug, both its consumption and the laws enacted to prohibit such use. Grants seek to support efforts that foster measurable changes in U.S. public policy with the goal of marijuana’s being regulated similarly to alcohol and having the drug be available for medical use. Some areas of interest include local marijuana ballot initiatives and legislation, research, and grassroots organizing. Applicants are asked to send a letter of inquiry before a formal proposal. Additional information is available on the Web site.
