DescriptionThe Fund, created from the restructuring of the W. Alton Jones Foundation, seeks to improve the human condition by changing the relationship between human consumption and the natural world. The Fund is characterized by “its holistic approach, its flexibility, and its commitment to cutting–edge ideas in both programs and investments.” Grantmaking is focused on finding new cultural and economic approaches to resource use, energy use, and urban development. Applicants are asked to submit an online eligibility quiz and letter of inquiry.
