Irving Harris Foundation
Category: Arts & Culture
DescriptionThe Foundation seeks to enhance the quality of life for children, families, and communities by advancing human potential, social justice and equity, and creative experience and expression. The Foundation?s values of justice, risk-taking, collaboration, partnership, and persistence, all inspired by the founder, are infused in everything it does. Arts and culture grants support a wide range of cultural endeavors. Special emphasis is given to living composers, choreographers, artists, and media makers; projects that include politically and socially engaged exhibits, films, and performances; organizations and programs that support access to all to participate in creative expression and learning; and artists and audiences of underrepresented communities. Although the Foundation funds programs and projects in Jewish values, early childhood, and reproductive health and justice, it only accepts proposals in the arts and culture category. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
