Hamburger Helper

Description

The General Mills Company’s food brand, Hamburger Helper, is looking to lend a “helping hand” to neighborhoods across the United States with its “My Hometown Helper” grant program. The Program encourages individuals from communities and organizations to complete an essay on how a grant would help improve their community project. Project ideas include, but are not limited to, holiday decorations for Main Street; refurbishing sports fields or band shells; money for student groups to travel; cleanup projects; or training for volunteer firefighters. Applicants can request a one-time award between $500 and $15,000. A municipal or civic organization or a public school must sponsor all funding requests. Funds will be awarded based on the project’s merit and its impact on and support within the community. Additional information is available on the Web site.
