Description

The Association's Wayne F. Placek grant Program awards grants for empirical research in any field of the behavioral or social sciences on any topic related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender issues. The Foundation encourages research that addresses the following topics: heterosexual's attitudes and behaviors toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, including prejudice, discrimination, and violence; family and workplace issues relevant to LGBT people; and special concerns of the LGBT population that historically have been underrepresented in scientific research. Eligible applicants include doctoral-level researchers or graduate students affiliated with an educational institution or a nonprofit research organization.
