DescriptionThe Association's KAVLI Science Journalism Awards have honored professional journalists for distinguished reporting on the sciences, engineering, and mathematics. The Awards are open to reporters doing work for independent news organizations around the world. Articles must be readily accessible to the public by subscription, newsstand sales, or online access. Categories include: science reporting (large outlet); science reporting (small outlet); science reporting (in-depth); magazine; video in-depth reporting; video spot news/feature reporting; Audio - radio or podcast; and children's science news (targeted to children up to age 14). There are two awards in each of the categories: a Silver Award of $3,000 and a Gold Award of $5,000.
