DescriptionThe Foundation’s Access to Learning Award recognizes excellence in providing access to information through computers at no cost to users. Administered by the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications, the Award recognizes innovative and successful initiatives that connect people to the information they require in a timely and effective manner. Preference is given to libraries or similar organizations outside of the United States that provide no-cost public access and which the Foundation has not funded in the past. Of particular interest are those organizations that reach out to the socially excluded groups, such as poor or disabled patrons, or those from minority communities.
