Description

The Foundation’s manufacturing camp grants are awarded to nonprofits and educational institutions with overnight or day camps that instruct youth ages 12 to 16 about the technology aspects of careers in metal forming and manufacturing. The objective is to provide a positive, hands-on experience so youth will consider manufacturing as a future career option. Preference is given to those camps serving minority populations. Funds may be used for expenses related to curriculum development and instruction, as well as direct expenses such as housing, meals, transportation, and supplies. Expenses related to the purchase of software or other capital expenditures will not be funded. Collaborations between educational institutions and camp organizations are encouraged. Additional information is available online.
