Description

Founded by former Czech immigrants, the Foundation seeks to raise public awareness of the outstanding contributions of foreign-born scientists and artists living and working in the United States and foster appreciation of the arts and sciences. The Foundation's Creative Promise Prizes seek to encourage and support emerging to mid-career immigrant artists and scientists who have demonstrated exceptional achievements early in their careers. Eligible applicants must have been born outside of the United States; be born on or after January 1, 1984; be a naturalized citizen or permanent resident (green card holder) or the United States; and hold an H1B or O-1 visa and have been living and working in the U.S. for at least five years; or have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals relief.
