DescriptionThe Council, the world's largest mathematics education organization, advocates for high-quality mathematics teaching and learning for every student. The Council's pre-K-6 classroom research grants are awarded in support of classroom-based research in the areas of pre-college mathematics education conducted in collaboration with a college or university mathematics educator. Proposal topics include research on curriculum development and implementation; involvement of at-risk students or students from diverse backgrounds and experiences; students' thinking about a particular mathematics concept or set of concepts; the connection of mathematics to other disciplines; focused learning and teaching of mathematics with embedded use of technology; and/or innovative assessment or evaluation strategies.
