DescriptionFormerly known as the GAPA Foundation, the Foundation's Community grants were established to provide funding for projects that had the potential to positively impact the Asian and Pacific Islander and/or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer community. They currently provide core funding to underresourced and/or local community organizations and projects. The Foundation prides itself on having a portfolio of diverse grantees, spanning across gender identifies, racial and ethnic communities, indigenous backgrounds and more. Through its grantmaking, the Foundation has funded community events, films, ethnographic surveys, and training tools. Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
