Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the food processing Company. It provides support to nonprofits that focus on food insecurity, primarily in the communities where the Company operates in 28 states. Grants are awarded in the following areas: food access, nutrition education and cooking skills, healthy and active lifestyles, and urban agriculture programs that have a clear community focus and provide entrepreneurial skills to help individuals participate in the farm-to-fork economy. The Foundation also develops national partnerships with leading nonprofits to leverage expertise and resources that ensure people have access to quality, wholesome food and knowledge to live healthy, active lives. Through the Foundation's Community Impact grant process, it invites U.S. based nonprofits to submit one online letter of intent annually. Preference is given to highly effective nonprofits with high-impact projects that occur in and near the communities where the Company employees live and work. Visit the Web site for additional information.
