DescriptionThe Organization believes that local people have the power to find their own solutions to conflict. The Organization's Peace Direct Awards support the creative use of technology as a tool to resolve conflict and build peace. The Awards highlight the inspiring work that grassroots groups are doing to establish peace and rebuild communities in conflict-affected areas around the world. Eligible peacebuilders should be working toward two basic goals: stopping violence and destructive conflict and building just and sustainable peace. Eligible organizations should be either entirely devoted to peacebuilding work or have peacebuilding as a substantial part of its overall work. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
