Polden-puckham Charitable Foundation
Category: International
DescriptionThis United Kingdom-based Foundation with roots in the Quaker religion aims to contribute to the development of a just society based on a commitment to nonviolence and environmental sustainability. Funding priority focuses on addressing systemic threats by seeking to change policy and attitudes at a national or European level. The Foundation awards grants in the following two areas: peace and sustainable security and environmental sustainability. Peace and sustainable security grants work to address the underlying causes of violent conflict and the development of ways to prevent and resolve conflict. Environmental sustainability grants work to address the pressures and conditions that contribute to global environmental breakdown. The Foundation only supports practical projects when they are clearly of a pioneering nature, with potential for influencing UK national policy. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
