Emergency Medicine Foundation
Category: Health
DescriptionThe Foundation and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine offer a Medical Student Research grant Program. The Program awards grants of $5,000 in support of scientific investigations designed to uncover new knowledge related to emergency medical care. Investigations may focus on basic or clinical research, preventative medicine, epidemiology, cost-containment, or research in emergency medicine teaching and education. Individual medical students or emergency medicine residency programs wishing to sponsor a medical student research project may apply. Preference is given to schools that name a specific student who has already committed to a project although this is not a deal breaker for a grant. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
