DescriptionThe Foundation’s Hillman Prizes honor excellence in investigative journalism and commentary and celebrate reporting that highlights social or economic injustice and leads to meaningful public policy change. Prizes are awarded in the following categories: nonfiction books, print or online newspaper reporting, print or online magazine reporting, broadcast journalism that includes story/series/documentary of at least 20 minutes in total package length that has aired on television, radio, or podcast; Web journalism that includes a story or series that appeared online but not in print (this category is open to blogs, photojournalism, and other multimedia projects as well as text) and opinion and analysis journalism that includes commentary and analysis in any medium. Eligible entries must have been published or broadcast in 2020 and been made widely available to a U.S. audience. Additional information including nomination forms can be found on the Web site.
