DescriptionThe Foundation seeks to advance the field of peace research through rigorous investigation into the causes of conflict and by examining alternatives to violence. The Foundation wants to inspire visions of a peaceful world, promote knowledge of non-violent peaceful strategies, increase the number of peace scholars around the world and encourage peace science and arts. It also looks to grow worldwide communication and collaboration among peace researchers. Peace researchers inform peace activities that inspire visions of a peaceful world. Grants are awarded to individuals, not organizations or institutions. Researchers from around the world are eligible to apply.
