Description

The Foundation, the former philanthropic arm of Industrial Scientific Corporation, became the McElhatten Foundation when the Company was sold. The Foundation’s End-of-Life Planning and Care grant Program supports programs and projects with the potential to enhance the quality of end-of-life care through technological innovation. For the Foundation, the term “end-of-life” includes more than just medical care. The Foundation believes that technology can play a role in improving the “quality of death” for people at the end of life. Grants will be awarded in support of projects with applications for emerging or existing technologies such as augmented reality. The Foundation also awards grants for awareness and documentation, and caregiver/provider training and support. In addition, the Foundation has also awarded grants for workplace safety programs, education, and community development in Knox and Franklin, Pennsylvania. The Foundation requires a letter of inquiry before it will accept a full application. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
